It’s eight o’clock at the Hirschfeld Theatre in Manhattan. The audience is here is to see Hair, but one thing about this audience -- it isn’t a bunch of aged baby boomers reliving the old days. A substantial amount of the audience is young. Who, like the performers in the show, were not even alive in 1968.

Could there really be neo-hippies? Not just kids of hippies, but young people so directly affected by the economic and political climate it changed everything about them from the music they listened to and the way they thought about our nations wars to the way they dressed.
