Macy's is all too ready for neo-hippies. Bloomingdales is running a campaign. Designers across every price point have something to offer. Everyone from Diane von Furstenburg to DKNY has a dress or a cute peasant shirt just ready to fly off the hanger.

There have always been companies that have specialized in "hippie wear" like Free People and Lucky Brand Jeans. Who could have expected fringe and paisley dresses coming from Larok or Rebecca Taylor though? It seems the fashion industry is ready to cash in on the nation's newfound spirit of change. They have accounted for everything a neo-hippie would ever need? Sandals, dresses of everything length, tie-dyed bathing suits, menswear. It seems like being a hippie is a bit more expensive in 2009 then it was ever described to be. Though knock-offs abound. H&M and Express are filled with the exact same stuff.

We may just be headed for the second coming of the Summer of Love except this time it will be accompanied by the Black Eyed Peas and skinny jeans.
