I scream, you scream, we all scream for 'Aids Wolf'

Aids Wolf,
loud and in your face………………..

Doing the research on this outstanding 'Indie' loud noise band I felt growth and some form of liberation. The music they create is pure pain, satisfaction and illusion. I felt I didn't have to be 'so' nice and it was fun to pretend that I was a killer bitch from a different side of town. If you want to listen to a group that is going to wake you up with that hard smack right across the face with ear popping screams, and plenty of hard core goodies this is your band.

A Canadian band that is going global with popularity with four very talented and raw band members; sinfully talented.

They started out in 2003 and they are still screaming their hearts out, going strong. Don't just take my word for it, go out and check them out by getting their CD and you can also go to their myspace page at www.myspace.com/aidswolf
.

It's absolutely hot for a kick ass make-out session with a mysterious man!

I now leave you with their Six Questions...

Six Questions

1. Olga: What do you feel 'Aids Wolf' can bring into the indie scene that no other band right now is doing?

AW: We have four musicians in the band that are not together in other groups, so that’s special enough already. It makes what we are and provokes our output. We don’t see ourselves in direct competition with anybody, I find it’s counterproductive. We do what we do aesthetically, and this is our own, and we never went around championning the vertue of our sounds. We like to befriend other bands, because it’s nice to run into people you know you will share affinities with when on tour, or even at home when these other bands come into town. There are definitely specific elements of sound and songwriting that we focus on in the jamroom, if that’s your question about--- we wish that people who listen to our music will figure the motives of these explorations; in a way it’s pretty important for us to communicate about these things with people who listen to our music, being either some dude who comes to our show or other musician, it helps us keeping things in perspective.

2. Olga: Aids Wolf does not believe in 'vacation' time so what do you guys do when you are not yelling beautiful nothings during your concerts?

AW: Apart from being in the jam space 3 to 4 days a week, and writing stuff and mixing stuff etc, we all have our personnal full time creative endeavours on the side. Chloe and me are working on fine arts and graphic projects with Seripop, and we have a little music duo together named Hamboghinni. Alex does music with his solo project ‘Drainolith’ and a duo called ‘Thames’. Myles also does music full time with many different projects, a duo called ‘Brother Hong Kong’ and a solo project called ‘Milo Brosco’.

3. Olga: What is a place you would like to tour, that you have not been to so far?

AW: I don’t know. I guess anywhere someone wants to hear us it’d be cool. We’re not difficult or fantasising anything.

4. Olga: Can you share your upcoming projects for this New Year of 2009?

AW: We have a 7” ep coming out in the fall, and we plan on recording our next full lenght around then, in the waiting we will tour u.s. In the spring and the fall, and participate in some collaborative project here and there, with the band Foot Village for instance and cut probably a couple 7” splits— there’s one planned with Satanized.

5. Olga: As a group, what is your strongest connection?

AW: We are all sulky nerds who like french no-wavers.

6. Olga: I know this may be hard, but which is the groups favorite song, sang/screamed/and created by 'Aids Wolf'?

AW: The last one finished writing.
